Texas High Performance computing centre. The campus-wide Grid at Texas Tech is called TechGrid. Users of TechGrid remotely and securely use these compute resources via intelligent job scheduling with the help of a Grid middleware called Avaki. TechGrid submits jobs during the times when the compute resources are not being used by students, staff, or faculty; thus adding value to Texas Tech resources and optimizing the usage of unused computer processing power. The upper and lower limit of the usage optimization is a current research topic.
