Corporate Ontology Grid. A project from the March 2002 round of EU funding. The COG project is a tightly focussed project that will create an open source industrial ontology and use it to interact with disparate data formats and comprehend underlying semantic data. It will provide proof-of-concept for the idea that tying data sources in a Grid with a central ontology can help industries overcome data interoperability barriers by generating software that can query and transform data in a platform and format independent manner.
