T-Systems

T-systems is participating in the joint venture hww (Hoechstleistungsrechner für Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft GmbH) together with Porsche AG and the Federal state of Baden-Württemberg. T-systems has also introduced an hpcPortal. It provides an uncomplicated, seamless and secure access to CAE applications and the corresponding high performance computing resources via the Internet.

The Computing Services of T-Systems can operate all or part of a data processing centre. T-Systems' approach is based on shared responsibility. The company continuously optimises the systems, infrastructures and applications for a customer.

T-Systems operates data centres or networks of desktop systems, establishes user help desks, and sets up communications networks or entire applications systems.

The portfolio of application services ranges from leasing preconfigured industry-specific or generic solutions (application service providing) to the operation and maintenance of office communications and key business applications and systems for attracting and retaining customers (office, ERP and CRM applications), as well as other enterprise-wide applications, to the operation of custom, market-specific IT solutions.

In the beginning of 2004, the company announced they also wil be active in Grid computing.
