Redwood Shores 26 January 2010 Amway Corporation, a part of the Alticor group of companies, has selected and deployed Oracle Applications, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack for a global technology initiative to promote and support 100 percent growth of its business by 2012.

By initially implementing Oracle Applications, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack in three flagship countries - Australia, South Africa and New Zealand - Amway is building the foundation for its Project ATLAS initiative in order to standardize the company's top ten business processes globally, grow business and reduce costs.

Planned as a phased roll-out globally across 60 countries, Amway's Project ATLAS is also streamlining and standardizing back-office transaction processes worldwide, while improving reporting and analytics to support better decision-making with Oracle.

Using Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack and Oracle SOA Suite, Amway is standardizing integrations across a front-end "Global Web" e-commerce system with the support and flexibility for seamless integration into third-party legacy systems and ERP applications for better insight into business data.

Loosely coupled and Standards based integrations and processes built using Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack and Oracle SOA Suite empower Amway to roll out technology changes quickly and efficiently around the world.

By replacing multiple legacy and custom-built systems with Oracle, Amway can take full advantage of packaged, integrated applications, while reducing costs and creating a re-usable foundation for future integration needs and changes.

"As a global leader in direct selling with 3 million independent business owners, Amway Corp. reached a critical point where our technology infrastructure could not keep pace with our ambitious goal to increase total business by 100 percent within the next two years", stated Tina Abdoo, Manager - Enterprise Development, Amway Corp. "Our choice of standardizing on Oracle has been a huge win for all of our constituents, and we are already reaping the benefits. Working with Oracle has been an amazing kick-start for our SOA journey to save time and cost and accelerate our growth with a strong, flexible technology foundation to meet future needs."

"The combination of Oracle Applications, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack provides Amway Corp. with unrivalled power and a technology infrastructure and foundation that provides value out-of-the-box on day one", stated Hasan Rizvi, Senior Vice President of Product Development at Oracle. "We are excited to continue our work with Amway Corp. and deliver the innovations that will help them achieve their business goals."
