Platform OCS - Dell Edition enables analysts, engineers and scientists from organisations of any size to exploit the power of HPC with an out-of-the-box software solution that is exceptionally fast and easy to deploy, run and manage.

Platform OCS - Dell Edition includes a complete range of tools necessary to build an HPC cluster that is easy to purchase together as a complete package. Providing a unified framework that supports a variety of tools and seamless integration of third-party products including open source software and Dell-specific tools such as Dell OpenManage, allowing customers to easily manage and monitor their entire cluster.

In addition, Platform OCS - Dell Edition helps administrators efficiently deploy and manage Linux Operating System-based HPC clusters even in highly complex environments. Platform OCS - Dell Edition is based on Project Kusu, the open source core of Platform OCS 5. Project Kusu is designed from the ground up to deliver the next generation of cluster management software.

"As high-performance computing deployments continue to grow in popularity, Dell is pleased to be working with Platform to reduce the inherent complexity and costs associated with cluster deployment and management", stated Judy Chavis, Director of Business Development and Product Management, Dell Inc. "The combination of Dell servers running Platform OCS 5 and its integration with Dell OpenManage allows customers to take advantage of the cutting edge server solutions powered by open source technology that helps deliver faster result times and improved cluster performance."

"Dell and Platform Computing have worked together to deliver high performance with unprecedented simplicity and value while removing the cost and complexity of HPC cluster deployments", stated Tripp Purvis, Vice President, Business Development, Platform Computing. "Dell is a valued partner and we are excited to continue our strategy to bring the most efficient HPC solutions to the market at the most cost-effective prices."
