Competitively-priced Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure modules are designed to be deployed immediately, enabling enterprises to use data across their enterprises, reliably and in real-time. The solution offers a choice of pre-installed, pre-configured and ready to run out-of-the-box configurations to provide enterprises with optimal Oracle data warehouse infrastructures.

Forward-thinking enterprises are gaining the competitive edge through mining the data in their warehouses. Although there are clear benefits, of helping to speed up decision-making processes and providing users with real-time data, it is a complex and time-consuming process to set up a data warehouse that meets the check points of reliability, high-performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has now put this process on the fast-track, delivering four pre-tested configurations that meet this demanding set of needs - as well as providing guaranteed adaptability to changing business needs.

As Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure solutions are pre-configured to meet different scenarios that help enterprises make the most-effective use of their data, this avoids the need for lengthy and costly pre-qualification phases before systems can go into production.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers, in partnership with Oracle, also runs a Center of Excellence in Munich, offering customers the chance to gain a deeper insight into the benefits from optimizing their IT resources for the use of Oracle solutions. In addition to benefiting from in-depth consulting and support, customers can experience real scenarios and live demonstrations of potential solutions, and gain assistance in identifying, developing and implementing best practices for working with Oracle solutions.

Dr. Bernd Kosch, Vice President Alliances at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, stated: "By combining Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure with our IT professional services for planning, implementing and operating configurations that are guaranteed to work out-of-the-box, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is providing enterprises with a comprehensive range of solutions enabling them gain the maximum benefit from their warehoused data. We have worked closely with our long-time partner Oracle to bring to market a range of ready-made solutions that deliver the highest possible system performance - and offer excellent value for money."

All Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure models are tuned to ensure the highest-possible throughput. The range is named after t-shirt sizes - XS, Small, Medium and Large. The entry-level XSmall scales up to 1TB of data, while the top-of-the-range best-practice Oracle Warehouse Large configuration scales to up to 10TB of data.

Top performance, excellent scalability and low total cost of ownership for the Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure solutions is achieved through combining PRIMERGY servers running a Linux operating system with FibreCAT SX SAN storage systems.

Each solution is a complete package of hardware, software, storage and network controllers based on Oracle Database Enterprise Edition (10g and above), Oracle Partitioning and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), and optionally Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus and Oracle Data Integrator.

At the heart of Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure models are PRIMERGY RX600 S4 rack servers with multi-core Intel Xeon processors, and FibreCAT SX88 SAN storage systems. All important components have a redundant design to help guard against system downtime, and all common RAID levels are supported.

Oracle Warehouse Infrastructure solutions are available to order immediately, with prices starting with 30.000 euro for an entry-level configuration - including deployment and data migration.
