"I'm honoured to receive this award", stated Brian Henry. "2006 marked the beginning of a major turn around effort for Cray, an effort that continues today and which I am proud to be a part of. One of the more important goals I've achieved at Cray is to build a tremendously talented finance team to support and drive the company's endeavours. My focus will continue to be on driving shareholder value and setting Cray on a path to long-term success."
Brian began his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche and joined Cray as its CFO in 2005. Before coming to Cray, Brian held the positions of CFO, executive vice president, vice president and chief operating officer for companies that include Onyx Software Corporation, Cincinnati Bell, Convergys Corporation and Mentor Graphics. He received a Bachelors of Science degree from Portland State University and an MBA from Harvard University, where he graduated in the top five percent of his class, receiving the school's highest academic award, the Baker Scholar recognition.
"Brian's broad business management experience, far beyond that of a typical CFO, has made him a huge contributor to Cray and many of our key successes in the last several years", stated Peter Ungaro, president and CEO of Cray. "He has been integrally involved in strategic and operating decisions that have dramatically improved our financial position and ensured that Cray will be positioned to thrive in the future - driving strategic decisions that refined our product roadmap to grow revenue and enhance profitability, working with major existing contracts to create win-win opportunities for both Cray and our partners and improving our operations efficiency across the company."
