Supermicro's SuperBlade is going green
Dresden 19 June 2008 Supermicro's Raphael Wong is concerned about power efficiency as he proved during the Hot Seat Session. Supermicro did a test in their lab and got the award winning SuperBlade. Supermicro have an optimized chassis and are equipped with BIOS and power management tools.

The latest HPC platforms are 1U Twin and SuperBlade. The Superblade has high-efficiency and redundant PWM fans.

There is a voltage regulator module or VRM, sometimes called PPM or power processing module.

Achieving the best optimal performance per Watt is achieved by energy efficient computing components, high efficiency power and cooling systems. The advantages are optimal performance per watt and per square feet in the data centre as well as big reductions on CO2 emissions.

SuperBlade is the best performance/watt system with DatacenterBlade and less than 50 dB with OfficeBlade. There are high efficiency energy savings.
