In "An Update on Parallel NFS", Panasas Senior Software Architect Brent Welch will provide a high-level overview of the pNFS protocol extension to NFSv4, coupled with a description of the benefits of parallel I/O architectures for Grid computing. His speech will provide audience members with an understanding of the pNFS layout driver abstraction, supporting multiple storage protocols. Brent Welch will also compare and contrast block storage, object storage, and file servers for data storage.
The speech will be held on September 11, 2007 from 2:15-3:15 p.m. PDT at the Dolce Hayes Mansion, located at 200 Edenvale Avenue in San Jose.
The SNIA Storage Developer Conference focuses on storage and file systems, and is designed for the storage development community, primarily engineers and product managers from software and hardware companies. |
